Recently, senior DSS executives joined influential industry leaders at a pivotal National Security Alliance (NSA) meeting.
The NSA comprises 13 security companies that operate 88 branch offices and deploy more than 16,000 employees across 35 U.S. states and 9 Canadian provinces. NSA members collaborate to share resources, thereby extending each member’s geographic reach. DSS is a member of the NSA.
The NSA’s 2026 Winter Meeting was held at Circa 1886, a former mansion in Charleston, South Carolina’s historic district, in early March. The annual meeting drew together representatives of NSA member companies and industry leaders to discuss a wide range of issues facing the security industry.
DSS President and CEO Mario J. Doyle, CPP, has served as NSA Chairman since 2024. He and NSA Executive Director Mike Beckerich delivered remarks at the opening and closing sessions of the Winter Meeting.
Speakers at the event explored the reality of Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption within the security industry, explaining the real-world applications of assistive AI co-pilots, while emphasizing the limitations of current AI models and the need to keep human operators “in the loop” to prevent errors. Other speakers addressed the impact of AI systems on Human Resources systems and the value of predictive scheduling.
Attendees also reviewed the current state of the security marketplace, including regional trends.
The annual Winter Meeting provides NSA member companies the opportunity to strengthen their partnerships, discuss security industry issues, and attend informative presentations on ways to improve security services operations.
DSS is proud to be a longstanding member of the NSA. Participation in the NSA allows DSS to provide security coverage at client locations beyond our core service regions, while ensuring consistent performance standards, regulatory adherence, transparency and diligent management oversight of operations.
