2026 Long Island Kidney Walk

In what has become a company tradition, DSS team members raised money to help fight kidney disease by walking on Long Island this month.

The 2026 Long Island Kidney Walk was held on Sunday, May 17, at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon.

Led by DSS Strategic Support Manager Gerardo Molina, the DSS Team raised more than $5,600, once again exceeding our $5,000 goal. Team DSS is ranked among the top fundraising teams in this year’s event.

Gerardo was ranked among the top individual fundraisers for the Walk, raising more than $5,000 to help those affected by kidney disease. A kidney transplant recipient himself, Gerardo rallies Team DSS for the Kidney Walk every year.

“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has donated and helped place us among the Top Ten fundraising teams,” Gerardo noted in an email to DSS team members. “DSS has consistently been one of the leading supporters of the Long Island Kidney Walk, and I am truly grateful to be part of such a dedicated and supportive team.”

DSS matches every dollar raised by Team DSS. All funds support the National Kidney Foundation.

Overall, thus far, the 2026 Long Island Kidney Walk has raised more than $110,000 of its $116,000 goal.

Roughly 37 million Americans have some form of chronic kidney disease. Funds raised at the annual Kidney Walk are donated to the National Kidney Foundation and support kidney disease research, treatment, outreach, and education.

You can help our team raise funds to support those afflicted with kidney disease by donating via the DSS Team’s Kidney Walk website.

DSS thanks everyone who participated or donated to this year’s Kidney Walk. Giving back to the communities we serve is a foundational commitment for our company.

We strongly encourage everyone to volunteer to help others and improve our communities and our world.
