Once again, DSS New Jersey District team members participated in a fundraiser to combat global hunger.

Led by New Jersey Human Resources Specialist Jose Perez, DSS team members helped Rise Against Hunger and Liquid Church with their annual campaign to fight hunger. This year’s mission was specifically aimed at combatting chronic malnutrition and hunger in Zambia.

The event was part of Christmas Outreach at Liquid Church, a Christian community with seven physical locations around New Jersey and a robust online presence.

Rise Against Hunger is an international charity dedicated to reducing hunger around the world, and aims to pack one million meals for children and families facing chronic malnutrition.

This year, more than 6,000 volunteers working at Liquid Church locations across the Garden State helped assemble one million meals for the Rise Against Hunger campaign.

DSS Vice President Mark Riggio participated in the annual food drive. This marks the second consecutive year that DSS team members have volunteered for the campaign.
