DSS, Gerardo Molina Honored with LIBN Corporate Citizenship Awards
DSS is proud to announce that the company and one of our team members have been recognized for public service and helping to improve local communities.
Long Island Business News (LIBN) has revealed the honorees in its 2025 Corporate Citizenship Awards.
DSS was named a Corporate Citizen of the Year in the category for large businesses with more than 500 employees. Other honorees in the category included 1-800- Flowers.com, Canon, PSEG Long Island, TD Bank, and Valley Bank.
Every year, DSS supports many charitable organizations, including Toys for Tots, the National Kidney Foundation, Long Island Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank, and St. Jude’s Research Hospital, with financial donations and participation in annual events like our Spring Food Drive, Bowling for Charity, and Long Island Kidney Walk. DSS team members are also encouraged to identify and participate in other worthwhile charitable campaigns and events.
Additionally, DSS Strategic Support Manager Gerardo Molina was honored as a Volunteer of the Year. Gerardo has spearheaded multiple charitable efforts at DSS, including the National Kidney Foundation’s annual Kidney Walk and the Daniela Conte Foundation. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter with the Levittown Fire Department and was deployed along with other members of the department to help extinguish the Jennings Creek wildfires, which scorched more than 5,000 acres of forests in upstate New York and New Jersey last year.
The LIBN Corporate Citizenship Awards celebrate companies and individuals whose actions contribute to building better communities. The editorial staff of LIBN selected the honorees. Originally founded in 1953, LIBN is a weekly newspaper that covers business, government, legal, nonprofit, and health care events and issues across Nassau County and Suffolk County.
An awards ceremony will be held in September at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York, to recognize the Corporate Citizenship of the Year Award honorees.
“Giving back to the communities we serve is a cornerstone of DSS’ founding philosophy,” commented DSS President and Chief Operating Officer Mario J. Doyle, CPP. “We are extremely gratified to be recognized for our participation in a wide variety of charitable campaigns and for supporting philanthropic organizations and events. We are also proud to see Gerardo Molina, who has continually rallied DSS and our team members to volunteer their time to support worthy local charities, recognized for his community spirit and generous work.”
DSS congratulates Gerardo Molina and all the other LIBN 2025 Corporate Citizenship Awards honorees!
