DSS Attends Overseas Counter-Terrorism Conference
Recently, DSS leadership attended a major international counter-terrorism conference in Europe.
The LinCT-AA Conference was held in Dublin, Ireland, between April 30 and May 2.
Among the many speakers were the Commissioner of An Garda Síochána, the Republic of Ireland’s national police and security force, and the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
The event featured discussions of the current range of security threats facing organizations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. It also featured presentations on the international fentanyl crisis, combating political extremism, rising tensions resulting from the Israel-Palestine conflict, and ways to disrupt pre-planned acts of violence.
DSS President and Chief Operating Officer Mario J. Doyle, CPP, attended this year’s conference.
The Leadership in Counter-Terrorism Alumni Association (LinCT-AA) is an affiliate of the International Leadership in Counter-Terrorism (LinCT). LinCT-AA works to encourage networking, information sharing, academic research, and outreach among security and counter-terrorism professionals around the world.
