Starting in April, DSS Team members will hit the softball fields of Central Park once again to compete with other teams from across New York City.

The first game of the year will be held at Central Park’s North Meadow on Thursday, April 10, at 6 pm. Subsequent games will take place once a week for the following 12 weeks.

The DSS team -- known as the “Doyle Destroyers” – debuted last year, playing in Division 2 of the EDSO Sports League, which includes softball teams from a wide range of organizations, like real estate developer Tishman Speyer, global banking giant BNP Paribas, publisher Simon
& Schuster, satellite radio provider XM Sirius, and the running advocacy group New York Roadrunners Club.

Comprised of more than a score of DSS employees and their family members, and coached by Vice President—Business Development and Quality Assurance John Kalle and Strategic Support Manager Gerardo Molina, the Destroyer finished last year’s regular seasons with eight
wins and five losses. The team reached the league playoffs but was defeated by a Division 1 team in the first round.

The Doyle softball team is yet another way to bring co-workers together in an informal, out-of-the-workplace location to build interpersonal relationships and boost cohesion in the workplace.
