2025 Long Island Kidney Walk
Once again this May, DSS team members raised money to help fight kidney disease by walking on Long Island.
The 2025 Long Island Kidney Walk was held on Sunday, May 18, at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon.
Led by DSS Strategic Support Manager Gerardo Molina, the DSS Team raised more than $6,200, easily topping our $5,000 goal. Team DSS is ranked among the top fundraising teams in this year’s event.
Gerardo was ranked as one of the top individual fundraisers for the Walk, raising more than $5,400 to help those afflicted with kidney disease. A kidney transplant recipient, Gerardo rallies Team DSS for the Kidney Walk every year.
DSS matches every dollar raised by Team DSS. All funds support the National Kidney Foundation.
Overall, thus far, the 2025 Long Island Kidney Walk has raised more than $94,000 of its $110,500 goal.
Roughly 37 million Americans have some form of chronic kidney disease. Funds raised at the annual Kidney Walk are donated to the National Kidney Foundation and support kidney disease research, treatment, outreach, and education.
